Fishing Report 6-26-2024

OFFSHORE: We are getting good reports on Mahi. I spoke with one of our locals, Dave Mason, he has been fishing the weed lines around the 80 foot mark . Live bait will give you a great chance, try some lures such as Island Lures, C and H Lures are another great choice.  Captain Pete Barwick of Bounty Bay PSJ Charters  stopped in this past week with some great pictures of Red Snapper.

INSHORE: Pompano bite is still good with Brandi Odom Smack landing a nice 16 1/2 incher this week. Congratulations that's a nice fish! Capt. Chris Lantz had another good week of Trout and Redfish. If you're Flounder fishing, try the potholes and Carolina Rig a Bull minnow or shrimp. Shark fishing has been good on the beaches at night with Bonita or Stingray for bait. Capt. Mike Bodiford of Bouy Time Charters has been catching some mighty big Trout using pinfish.  Here at BlueWater Outriggers, we sell about every type of bait except pinfish, but we do carry an assortment of pinfish traps.  If you're Beach Fishing we carry an assortment of beach carts. They definitely make that trip to the beach a whole lot easier. We also received a new shipment of Squidtrex 170 as well as salt strike OP scented shrimp If you haven't tried this yet, it's amazing

FRESHWATER: Shell cracker and Bream have been on fire this past week. Worms and crickets have been the go to baits. If you want to try artificial, I would suggest Beetle Spins or Rooster Tails. Catfish are also biting, with most of them being taken in the deeper holes of the river. Try using cut bait or live bait such as bluegill or crawfish.

Until next week, tight lines and don't forget those lifejackets.
