BlueWater Outriggers Fishing Report 2-5-2025

Offshore: I had a chance to catch up with Jake Harpe, one of our associates here at Bluewater. He says the Grouper bite has been good in 140 to 200 feet of water using live grunts and pinfish. The Vermilion Snapper have been good on squid in 120 to 140 feet of water.

Inshore: Speckled Trout season is closed so it's time to switch gears and start targeting Sheephead. They have been good around the pilings and bridges using fiddler crabs and pieces of shrimp. We were fishing Apalachicola Bay this week and they were quite a few on the bars tailing so give that fly rod a try.

Freshwater: The Crappie bite is still very good on minnows around brush piles. Bass have been good on The Dead Lakes, try the main river channel using Ned Rigs.

Hunting: We still have a few more weeks of deer season so send us your pictures by next week. Spring Turkey season opens next month so if you're needing camo ground blinds or ammo come in and see us at BlueWater Outriggers.

Until next week tight lines and be sure to wear your lifejacket.
