Red Drum
BlueWater Outriggers Fishing Report 1-15-2025

Offshore: This last week has been hit and miss. No reports of anything way offshore, however the inshore reefs are producing with limits of Beeliners, Mangrove, and Lane Snapper. Live Pin Fish, shrimp or cut bait have been putting fish in the cooler.

Inshore: The Speckled Trout and Red Drum bite is on fire in the creeks! As shown in this photo of myself with a nice bull Red. Try casting some White Curly Tail Grubs with Procure Scent or live shrimp. Sheephead are biting as well with fiddler crabs and shrimp. Start your fishing around bridge pilings, piers and jetties and don't be surprised if you pick up some Mangrove Snapper as well. Whiting are being caught on the beaches using ghost shrimp. Stop in BlueWater Outriggers if you need any accessories for your shore fishing needs. We have a good supply of bait buckets, aerators and sand flea rakes.

Freshwater: The Crappie are still hitting soft, plastics and minnows in Depot Creek also trolling the west arm of Dead lakes have been very productive. When fishing during this cold weather remember to slow your presentation down. Sheephead are turning on. Give one our local guides a call you and you won't be disappointed.

Until next week, tight lines and don't forget those lifejackets and lanyards.
