BlueWater Outriggers Fishing Report 7-3-2024
OFFSHORE: Yellow Edge and Snowy Grouper have been caught in the 600 to 800 feet along with Blue Line Tiles . Bluewater has pushed further offshore in the 200+ foot of water. Snapper bite has been good past 120 feet of water. Live Pinfish as well as Hard Tails will bring the bigger fish. Put out a flatline for Palagics. Don't forget, Red Grouper is closed for the remainder of the year.
INSHORE: The bite has been a little slow this week due to water temperatures running in the mid 80s Look for the thermalcline, it has been running around the 8 foot mark. A Carolina rigged Bull Minnow will get the Trout, Redfish and Flounder fired up. Capt. Chris Lantz of Gettin Real Sportfishing had a good week of Trout and Redfish, in spite of the warm water. Tarpon continue to improve on the beaches, live bait or Hogy's are a great choice.
FRESHWATER: Bluegill continue to improve, crickets in 3 to 5 ft. of water will get you a limit. Catfish in deeper holes on cut bait, stink bait, or live bait. This time of year Bass are good on buzz bait The Booyah Buzz or the Strike King Buzz Baits. If you're fishing this week, keep an eye on the weather. Lightning is no joke Graphite rods and lightning don't play well together. This image gives new meaning to the term "Lightning Rod".
Until next week tight lines and don't forget those lifejackets.
