BlueWater Outriggers Fishing and Hunting Report

Offshore: We haven't had a lot of offshore reports, but the few we have say the Snapper bite has been good along with Trigger Fish and Beeliners. Most of these reports say that they're catching them over shallow water reefs on live or cut bait using knocker rigs.

Inshore: I talked with Captain Andy Bolger of Chum Em Up Charters and he says the shark fishing has been pretty good along with Black Drum, Pompano, Whiting, and Red Fish still on the beaches. These cold fronts really have the Speckled Trout bite heating up. Captain Chris Lance of Gettin Reel Sport Fishing had another good week with some big Trout and Spanish being caught along with a 40 pound Black Drum.

Freshwater: The Catfish bite remains good on the river using cut bait on trotlines. The Crappie bite continues to improve using live minnows or small soft plastics. Try electric chicken if you are in stained water, in clearwater try natural colors such as silver white or light blue.

Hunting: Opening week of Deer season got off to a good start Captain Ron Brack got this nice buck using a 270 with a 140 grain ballistic tip.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, stop in and see us for more Black Friday specials and until next week don't forget those lifejackets and lanyards.
